Who we are
Suggested text: You’ll find our website at https://www.naaspatios.ie.
Comments
Suggested text: When you leave a comment on the site, we collect the data shown in the comments form. We also collect your IP address and your browser user agent string, which helps us spot spam.
We may pass an anonymised string made from your email address (known as a hash) to the Gravatar service, just to check whether you’re using it. You can read the Gravatar service Privacy Policy here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. Once your comment has been approved, your profile picture will be visible to the public alongside your comment.
Media
Suggested text: If you upload images to the website, please try to avoid including any with embedded location data (EXIF GPS). Anyone visiting the website can download images and extract any location data from them.
Cookies
Suggested text: If you leave a comment on our site, you can choose to save your name, email address and website in cookies. It’s simply there to make life easier, so you don’t have to type your details in again the next time you comment. These cookies last for one year.
If you visit our login page, we’ll set a temporary cookie to check whether your browser accepts cookies. It holds no personal data and is thrown away when you close your browser.
When you log in, we’ll also set up a few cookies to save your login details and your screen display choices. Login cookies last for two days, and screen options cookies last for a year. If you tick “Remember Me”, your login will stay in place for two weeks. If you log out of your account, the login cookies are removed.
If you edit or publish an article, one more cookie will be saved in your browser. It contains no personal data and just notes the post ID of the article you’ve edited. It expires after 1 day.
Embedded content from other websites
Suggested text: Articles on this site may include embedded content (for example videos, images, articles and so on). Embedded content from other websites behaves in exactly the same way as if you had visited that other website yourself.
These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, add their own third party tracking, and monitor how you interact with that embedded content. That includes tracking your interaction if you have an account and are logged in to that website.
Who we share your data with
Suggested text: If you ask for a password reset, your IP address will be included in the reset email.
How long we retain your data
Suggested text: If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are kept indefinitely. That way, we can recognise and approve any follow up comments automatically, rather than leaving them sitting in a moderation queue.
For anyone who registers on our website (if any do), we also store the personal information they give us in their user profile. All users can see, edit or delete their personal information at any time, apart from their username, which can’t be changed. Website administrators can also see and edit that information.
What rights you have over your data
Suggested text: If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can ask for an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including anything you’ve given us. You can also ask us to erase any personal data we hold about you. The exception is any data we’re obliged to keep for administrative, legal or security purposes.
Where your data is sent
Suggested text: Visitor comments may be run through an automated spam detection service.
